COVENANT 11 – BUILD UP THE CHURCH
A core aspect of our growth strategy involves the nurturing and dissemination of our unique Community life. We strive to establish Sacramental Community Churches – faith communities that embody the values and practices of the Coworkers of Christ. Here, individuals can explore their vocations, receive guidance, and experience the enriching fellowship of shared worship and faith.
Church planting, a core missionary strategy for the Coworkers of Christ, goes beyond simply establishing new places of worship. It’s about sowing seeds of faith and fostering vibrant Christian communities that contribute to the overall growth of both the Church, our Community, and the greater surrounding community at large.
Sacramental Community Churches provide platforms to share the message of Jesus Christ and His Sacraments with those who may not have been previously connected to a faith community. This expands the reach of the Church and offers opportunities for spiritual awakening.
Church plants often attract young families and individuals seeking a fresh expression of faith. These communities can provide a welcoming environment for spiritual exploration, fostering a new generation of dedicated Christians.
We also understand that sometimes the path of faith can be filled with unexpected detours. Many people have been hurt or disillusioned by previous church experience and find themselves without a church home, and our Sacramental Community Churches stand to welcome them with open arms.
Our inclusive and compassionate environment offers a safe haven for those who feel ostracized, abused, or unchurched. Here, they will find a community built on forgiveness, understanding, and a shared love for Christ, His Church, and the Sacraments. We believe past experiences don’t define one’s future in the faith.
