COVENANT 6 – A COMMUNITY OF PEOPLES
The Coworkers of Christ fosters a strong sense of unity despite its potentially dispersed nature. This unity is rooted in a shared commitment to Christ and our Common Rule. All members, having professed the same Common Rule, are considered consecrated to God and form a single, unified body.
While individual members experience their faith through personal prayer, study, and work, the community provides a vital support system. Even those living in solitude are considered part of the larger whole. This communal spirit is fostered by mutual love, service, and encouragement. Members celebrate each other’s successes and collaborate on “wholesome undertakings,” nurturing mature and interdependent relationships in Christ. Each cell, family, chapter, ministry, worship group, and individual shows respect and appreciation for the faith journeys of others.
The Coworkers of Christ prioritize maintaining a sense of community even when geographically separated. News and events are shared to keep everyone informed about each other’s lives. Additionally, the community strives to preserve its history for future generations.
