COVENANT 9 – THEY DEVOTED THEMSELVES

The Sacramental Community of the Coworkers of Christ fosters a dynamic and growing community through a two-pronged approach, drawing strength from both tradition and innovation.

The Community recognizes the enduring power of established apostolic works. Retreats, missions, preaching, education, and worship services serve as the cornerstone of spiritual growth and connection.  These time-tested methods provide a strong foundation for individuals to encounter God, develop their faith, and build relationships with fellow believers.  These practices echo the core Christian values found in scripture, such as the Great Commission to spread the Gospel (Matthew 28:19-20) and the importance of gathering for worship and fellowship (Acts 2:42-47).

The Coworkers of Christ acknowledge that the world is constantly evolving.  Therefore, we actively seek fresh ways to engage with new audiences and address contemporary challenges.  This commitment reflects the Christian value of stewardship, using God’s gifts (talents and resources) to serve others (Matthew 25:14-30).  The Community might utilize modern communication technologies, like social media or online platforms, to share our message and connect with a broader audience.  Developing innovative outreach programs allows us to connect with people in new ways, perhaps addressing social issues through a faith-based lens.

By embracing both traditional and contemporary approaches, the Coworkers of Christ strive to create a welcoming and vibrant environment. This inclusivity reflects the Christian principle of love for one another (John 13:34-35).   This welcoming atmosphere allows individuals from diverse backgrounds to connect with God, deepen their faith journeys, and contribute their unique talents to the flourishing of the Community.  This collaborative spirit embodies the Christian concept of the Body of Christ, where each member plays a vital role in the community’s well-being (1 Corinthians 12:12-27).

Through this commitment to both tradition and innovation, we attempt to foster a thriving community where individuals can grow in their faith and contribute to a world in need.
